Is it OK to take unopened food/supplies in to Vanuatu. We would like to take some biscuits, tuna sachets, peanut butter, nuts, muslei, etc.
Our resort is fairly remote and we would like to take our own lunch supplies.
As a parent I understand the need to take along those supplies! Vanuatu Tourism has a pretty clear guide to what can and cannot be taken into the country:
It says processed foods such as biscuits, commercially wrapped/packaged are ok. But there'll be a quarantine declaration form to fill-in when you arrive.... as the other Nomad said, best to keep all that food in a separate bag and just declare it to the officials (we did the same thing when we went to Fiji and they allowed it through).
