Is safe To rent a motor bike in Vietnam

Hi, everything you need to know, but probably don't want to hear, is here: https://www.worldnomads.com/travel-safety/southeast-asia/malaysia/do-i-need-a-license-to-ride-a-motorbike The short version, you cannot get a license on a tourist visa. No license means no insurance. no insurance means no-one but you will pay your hospital bills and/or your repatriation back home for rehabilitation after the accident. Motorcycle accidents are common, and often causing serious injury. Sorry to spoil the fun, but "no, it is not safe". yea, I know, it's a bummer. Phil over 2 years ago

Should I allow my filipina wifr take our kids to the Philippines without me?

There are areas of Philippines which are dangerous, mostly in the south due to the activity of armed dissident groups. I'm sure you're aware of the conflict centred on Marawi - search news reports if you're not. Parts of Manila can be dangerous, and we usually advise travelers to seek the advice of locals who know the lay of the land. As you point out, your wife is a local, or will be with people who are, so she should be able to avoid trouble. over 2 years ago

Is it safe to travel to Bali now that there is some volcano activity?

The authorities have put up a no-go zone cordon around the volcano, and all hiking tours have been cancelled. So keep your distance from Mt Agung and there's no reason to worry about safety. Krakatoa-size eruptions are extremely rare... it's not like all of Bali will disappear in a puff of smoke. Be aware though, that depending on prevailing winds and an ash cloud, air traffic in and out of Bali may be disrupted. It happened a couple of years ago and flights were cancelled for weeks. Check that your insurance policy covers delay and cancellation from a volcano. almost 3 years ago
